Anybody like to guess the cause of the breakdown yesterday afternoon. I have had an efi warning intermittantly for some time without any ill effects on the car. Yesterday temperature around 80 and the car lost power, just died and coasted to a stop. The car cooled and restarted only to reach the same temp and it died again. Car cooled & restarted and I managed to reach my destination before happening again. The car is now at Str8six for diagnosis, and I should hear later in the week what caused the breakdown. In the mean time would the fellow Tuscaneers like to guess the problem. scratchchin

Had it with the Merc. Hopefully a cheap and easy fix.

Got the car back today woohoo I cannot praise str8six enough bow. great service and the car has been transformed. Back to the topic in hand it would appear that the fault was a combination of a blocked fuel vent pipe and water in the carbon box along with a dodgy lamba sensor. So no winners, except me as the car has returned. smile
