Tuscan 2 and speed hump clearance
Discussion
I’m hoping I can get some reassurance (or not!) about the Tuscan 2 and its ability to negotiate speed humps. I’m picking up a Tuscan 2 conv later this week and will have it for a few days (birthday present...cant sleep...very excited). To get to my house I have to go over at least one speed bump. I can take a bit a cut through route going through a few streets and only have to go over one hump or go all the way down the main, direct route over loads of the things. The problem with the one bump route is it’s the biggest on the whole sodding length of the road!! And the “over many” route they are a lot tamer (going this way I can avoid the big one). Now, I’ve driven over this beast hump in a couple of Exige’s, going “up” the bump diagonally, and it didn’t touch, but the thing with the Exige is it’s so short from nose to wheel. I’m worried the Tuscan has a fair bit more hanging out front. Not to mention the low exhaust system. Anyway, this has turned into quite a long way of asking if anyone has any experience/tips on how to best take these humps. As I’d rather not rip anything off the car on my first attempt, so I’m probably being over-cautious, but thought I’d ask on here. The bumps are some three separate raised rectangles across the road...and then some (including the massive one) are one single raised rectangle in the centre of one lane with a curbed bit in the other lane that sticks out and reduces traffic in both directions to one lane. So in a “normal” car you can just take a bump wheels either side of a single hump. So I guess my options are to take the one hump diagonally style, and do the same with the three hump sections, or go straight across the centre top of two humps? Or tell me I've nothing to worry about as long as I take it very easy? (wishful thinking?)
Any advice appreciated. Cheers

I've had no problems either, as said already, just take it slow.
There was a huge speed bump installed by the local council in North London just before I bought my T2. At its peak, it was level with the pavement, but it was fine in the end, (had to ask the misses to get out the car and monitor the situation the first time I went over it).

Thanks for the Birthday wishes, it was a bit of a non-event really...the main action was picking up the Tuscan today and it's all I've been thinking about! Yes, I'm glad it stayed dry today. And it's looking very nice for tomorrow. I can't wait to get the roof off so I can get the full sound experience. By far the loudest thing I've driven...FANTASTIC!
I went the "long" route over 5 speed bumps at almost standstill and didn't touch any of them. I think I'll just avoid the big bump, now I know I can get over those 5 ok, I'll just stick to that route and not risk anything else.
