Have found that my engine sump plug has been installed without a washer and overtightened to the point the nut faces were damaged in the process.

Worse still there does not seem to be a replacement plug readily available out there.

Anyone found an equivalent magnetic plug?

Anyone had to drop the sump in situ - it looks less than straightforward? That way I can get it on a bench and take it out.

there are 3 bolts behind the flywheel that you wont be able to get to with the flywheel in situ

you may be better with an angle grinder or even a dremel with a cutting disc and cleaning the bolt to a stage you can use a wrench / breaker bar. They can be extremely tight!!!!!!!! Give TVR power a call for a new plug - im sure they will have one.

Sourced a new one today from Dave Batty.

TVRpower did not have one nor Clever Trevor.

Will set about it this weekend.

There is defo no washer and I know it is very tight.
