Still got immobiliser issues!!
Discussion
Hi all,
Struggling a bit and need some help. My MK1 Tuscan immobiliser will not reset; the fuel pump won't kick in and it won't let me turn the engine over. Both key fobs are fine (alarm will turn on/off and doors will lock) but I can't stop the red LED flashing. I've plugged the immobiliser into the slot as well. I pulled every related fuse and disconnected but to no avail. As a last resort I want to disconnect the "black box" of the immobiliser but can't find it!! I'm told it's in the passenger foot well behind the glove box but I see it; I've even pulled the vertical carpet back but it wasn't there either. Can anyone help please?
Best regards

Hi. Your immobiliser control unit is in the drivers footwell next to the throttle pedal behind a fibreglass panel at the side. It is common to have a problem with them if the battery has gone low on charge or has been sat for a long period of time. In the past i have just disconnected it from the large plug for a minuite or so and re-connected and it usualy works. If not i would contact Carl Baker i would highly recomend him. If i can be of any more help then please contact me.
Hi,
Carl Baker is the man. Contact him on 0772 072 3407, his mobile - best way as he's a busy guy!
Might be worth checking you've got 12V ...or not, at the fuel pump connections with a meter or test lamp. These connectors are a bit exposed and might be worth cleaning & remaking. OR, pump might have given up the ghost.
Immobiliser is in drivers side footwell, usually identified by red label saying what it is!
Just a thought, what is the battery like? Might be causing issues? Might be worth getting a slave connected through the anderson connector, or giving it a good charge. I'd try the above options before giving Carl a shout
