Just wondering, bearing in mind most of these cars are 2nd cars and therefore only do limited miles, do people service annually or according to milage?

Yearly, 12k servicing one year, 6k the following. Although I've done nearly 7k this year rolleyes but that's not the norm biggrin

Yes, yearly here too. Think you'll find it easier if you come to sell, if it's fully stamped up.

Always have mine done yearly even though a lot less than 6K miles per year. Some dealers offer reduced milage services which cost quiet a lot less.

Whichever comes first for me. Last service was in September and that was an annual, time before that was after 6000 miles (did 8k that year).

Low mileage service twice a year or full 6k - whichever is sooner.

Cheers all. Just wondering if it was excessive as had mine serviced when I bought it a year ago which was 3k miles from last service and is in now at hhc and having only done 1.5k miles since then.

Nothing wrong with having low mileage services/checks done once or twice a year. It can help identify issues early before they come bigger. I had that happen a few times on my old Tuscan. Caught the issues at an early stage before they would have become major.

yep i do it yearly too regardless how low the mileage would be. Always do it with MOT. it is just easier do everything at the same time, rather than going back and forth twice.#

Alway's a good idea to have a service at the same time as an MOT and have it carried out by people that know about TVR's. Services can be done as a 6K, 12K as required, or a lot of us independant's will offer a low mileage service to save your penny's but you still have peace of mind knowing you pride and joy is ok.

TVR Power in Coventry. They do my car. It always passes the MOT and they keep it running nicely.

It is also very possible to service your own, they are relatively simple cars with a great manual (gv's).

I do most of my own 6k/12k, don't want to sell the car and like to know everything is done, but there also some great indy's out there.
