Most people have to replace their pod screen because it doesn't work or has lines over it.

Mine on the other hand works well, maybe someone else replaced it? Anyway in my quest to clean the car up i came up with the idea of taking the pod apart to clean it all, it was nice there was still some glue on it from the factory.

So i grabbed one of my girlfriends nail wipes which seem to clean everything, i thought oh i'll give the screen a wipe. Bad move dhead! It just ate into the plastic cover now renderin g the screen useless.

So that plastic thing must just be some sort of sticker as the screen works but no contrast only to be told its actually a vital part i cant buy

I suppose on the upside i now have a spare screen if the new one break i'll just have to pull the sticker off the new one and put it on the old one.

Tip of today is dont use nailwipes to clean electronic parts

I can sympathise, thats exactly the sort of thing that happens to me. Thanks for sharing if only for the reason that I don't feel quiet so isolated in my uselessness when it comes to tvr maintenance.

Bad luck, the nail wipes contain acetone which melts the plastic cover but they work great on other things!

I know mate you know when you do something and just literally as you do it you think what the fk am i doing

I mainly use them to clean the walls around the house, they are white walls and mark very easily, a slight rub with one of these cleans it better than anything else, although they aren't good with eggshell, just removing it almost instantly.
