simple tale of owner ignorance!

dug the pride and joy out of hibernation for its MOT yesterday, weather pretty bad, still a wee bit of snow about so stuck my hiking boots on and off I went to garage - passed MOT no problem, drove car back to work. Left office 9pm, Tuscan wont start, turning over but just wont start - simple check over of car i couldn't find anything wrong, pitch black outside so phoned AA - Nice guy, but couldn't find what was wrong either so one hour later car is on Low loader heading the 40 miles to nearest TVR garage.

car is in less than 5mins when they phone me and ask me what shoes i was wearing when driving it - size 11 hiking boots i answered

I had accidently somehow managed to get my boots in amongst wiring in driver footwell and had booted off the fuel pump relay

never thought it possible to leave a car stranded by my choice of footwear (never even thought to check footwell for problems)

this happened to anyone else? (i felt pretty dumb going to pick up the car today!)

Think i'll leave my Sparco karting boots in the car now at all times!

merry xmas to all

I can't/won't drive my Tuscan in boots, tried a short distance once in my steel toe DM work boots, too easy to unintentionally grab more than one pedal plus I found it difficult getting the clutch fully down frown

On the plus side you got a cheap fix thumbup

I often wondered what sort of Freek the TVRs were built around,
Small feet, Long legs And extremely short arms
