Evening all,
A friend has just bought a 4ltr Tuscan (2000 - X plate) having owned a Chimaera for the last 9yrs.
The car seems in fairly good order but there is an issue with the fan for the interior heating. The fuse is fine and the neon lights around the fan control knob light up in sequence depending on how far the knob is turned, however the fan does not appear to activate at all (the switch has been depressed) and as such the demist and interior heating is poor.
Has anyone had similar problems? is there a relay for the heater fan (seemed to be two listed for the cooling side only)? and where is the heater motor located?
Any help/advise appreciated,
Thanks
Richard

There is a controller under the dash on the passenger side up under. Normally there is a supply pin burnt out, it was not designed to carry the current. They need to be sent away for modification, it is possible to do it yourself, but it is not for faint hearted. The controller itself fails as well,, normally the diode or caps.
A quick search will bring up lots on heater controller.
