Griff to Tuscan
Discussion
I went from a Chimaera 450 to a Tuscan S.
Definitely worth driving a few. Speed 6 can feel a little gutless at low revs - when compared to the RV8 cars. However, once you come on the cam at ~ 3500 rpm, they fly. In real world terms, out of roundabouts/junctions etc, then the Rover engined cars will match - pretty much, any of the (standard)Sp6 engined cars, it's only above 90 to 100 mph that the revvier Sp6 will dominate.
The later cars also were much better electrically too.

Ian agree with everything in previous posts the Tuscan is quieter with the roof in and lots more boot space for touring bit more practice to drive more gear changing than a griff but you will keep hitting the rev limiter to start with as it flies around the rev counter that quickly. As jj said I was able to keep my 500 as well so a less difficult decision

I went from a Griff 500LE with upgraded engine to a 3.6 Tuscan 2, big difference in torque as the Tuscan needs to be revved to get the performance, loved the lazy feel the Griff had, the Tuscan feels much more modern and refined especial with the roof on, the Tuscan has a great engine note from inside the cabin and has lots of pops and bangs on overrun.
I wish I still had both cars

Thanks for the replies, i do like the lazy driving that the Griff gives(not having to change down a lot, just foot down even from fairly slow speeds, and away you go). I had a RX8 when they first came out(i know,i know
)constantly changing gear, didnt last long, from what you have said i think i might find the same in the Tuscan. I am going to look at a Tuscan s and i have seen a Cerbra 4.5 LW that i like as well. Just got to find the time to get the Griff ready to sell (mot ect) and go look at these two cars.I will be asking questions about one or the other if i decide to buy and posting photos of course.
