Jammed rear breaks

Yes you've been hearing quite a lot from me these days, after having cleaned the car a little I wanted to take it for a spin but...

Here's what happened: I take the handbrake off go in reverse and try to get out the garage, I heard a noisy "CLAMP" and the rear breaks were clearly jammed the car didn't want to move...

Is it very cold there? Had a car before where the handbrake would stick on in icy conditions. Leaving the car to warm up would eventually release it but was a total pain.

It's not just the pad and disk sticking due to surface rust where the disk got wet? After a wash I have to take mine round the block to dry the disks and pads or they do as you've described. Happens more on this car than any other I've owned. Maybe due to the pad material?

Its actually the front breaks, and yes due to rust/wet road...

The front break pads are stuck, do I have to manually unjam them ? or is it electrical ?
