Hi All,

So a problem i thought had left me has decided to come back... the fuel pump isnt turning on when i deactivate the immobiliser....

here is a walk through:

Unlock Car
Get In
Key in Ignition
Turn on Electronics
Push button on key again
No fuel pump sound. there for no start

One thing i noticed is that the red and green lights are turning off with the click noise on the first push of the button (i tried it from inside the car)

I have tried master reset, checked Fuse... anybody have any ideas please! its a nice day and i need to go for a drive!

Any Help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Christian

Sounds as though the immobiliser is OK if the red/green LED's are going off, could be the fuel pump relay or connections on the fuel pump. Does the engine turn over?

Did you also reset the safety fuel cut-off switch ?
It's mounted above the right top of the fueltank. Raise cover above tank, black switch, push button on top of it.

Check the relay. I used to keep knocking mine as it's the biggest block on the fuse board and it's easy for you to nudge it with your right toe. Take it out and check the bottom of the contact pegs for cracks. They can crack with the amount of times the relay gets knocked. The fuel pump relay never fits tight in the fuse board anyway so it's probably just working its way loose periodically. If you've checked it and it fits tight, then change the relay (they are a common Vauxhall part I believe) as any fault or crack in the relay might not be clearly visible. If it's not the relay or the safety cut off, then it's probably the fuel pump, ouch!
