I'm looking at a really scruffy Tuscan, it needs wheels & tyres as it's currently up on bricks, it also needs rear exhaust cans, one is missing and the other is dented, so what am I looking at for replacements?

Anyone got any standard Tuscan wheels going spare after an upgrade?

I need to make an offer for the car but need to factor in the obvious cost of these bits.

Not sure if it runs yet but I'm guessing it has not had an engine re-build, so I'm looking at how much for this?

You can get 18" Spiders brand new from TVR Power for about £150 a piece.

The standard cans vary a bit. Looking at a receipt, I noticed the previous owner of my car paid about £60 for one. I found some used CCC's for £200 in the classifieds. Sorry can't be more specific!

Thanks that is helpful, so a set of 18" and tyres will be £1200 ish. £200 for the cans.

If anyone has any used wheels and tyres for sale, even originals, then please let me know.

Oh, engine rebuild will be £5,400 http://www.tvrpower.co.uk/upgrades/engine-rebuild-...

I've heard you often end up paying a bit more as they come across other parts that need upgrading/replacing.

If you're sure the engine will require a rebuild, unless you can get the car for for say £5k then you're probably better off buying something like this:

Why is it currently in the state that it is?

Yes it needs to be cheap, that's why I'm weighing up costs. I'm not sure on the engine condition, it may have been re-built but I'm guessing it hasn't at the moment. I'm still getting info on it's current state, the wheels were stolen I think, it's currently sitting at the back of a yard where my friend works, ownership is an issue at the moment!

Bodywork is good and so is the interior, chassis looks good, don't know the mileage or much else about it yet, need to do a bit more sniffing around and get some history but will not bother unless I can get it at the right price, sub £5k is what I'm looking at. It's a 2000 car.

yes you will be very lucky to get the rebuild for £5,400 once you add it all up a standard rebuild will be nearer £7000 I guess you could add the same extra on if you are looking at a 4.3 or 4.5. Oh remember VAT as well.
