Boot removal

What's the best way to remove the boot, do you leave the hinges in the car or remove them in the boot lid?

I remove the boot lid and leave the hinges in the car. If you remove the clips on the end of the boot strut but leave it in place til last it helps support the lid while you remove the bolts.

I find the central barrier on the M25 extremely effective at removing the boot completely!!!

It was a few years ago now, i'm fine just had a broken collar bone. Had a new tuscan for nearly 2 years now.

Even the A post is bent. Glad you got out with only a broken collar bone, looks like it could have been a lot worse.

That's good news. Remember reading about all the work you did changing the pod lights from green to blue and also your home carpet retrim. Makes you realise that an insurance payout will never compensate you for all the blood, sweat and tears we put into our cars.

Fortunately all that work has been done on my new car and not the old one, your right though an insurance company would not take any of that into account.

In a way I want to thank you for images like that (and obviously offer my sincere condolences), as they often remind me to take it easy when conditions aren't the best. A few times I've been tempted to put my foot down on a clear stretch of road when it's been a bit wet, only to remember the horror stories of others.
