I nearly bought that car before christmas. After speaking to Taylor TVR they said the car had been well looked after and was in good condition, but they said it needed new engine mounts, possibly diff mounts and would shortly need a service, but check with them because he could of had it done.
I only didn't buy it because we could no agree on price, with the above worked needed.

To be fair engine mounts are vitually a serviceable item!!!
If the car has been used in traffic it doesnt take long for the rubber to crack. Only in the last few months has Str8 Six found a new, more resiliant mount.
Diff mounts once upgraded to powerflex are a little better in lifetime.
To the OP, dont know the car, but be cautious of who did the rebuild and when...take a good look round the sp6 forum
