Carbon exhaust can detached
Discussion
Yesterday one of the carbon exhaust can's decided to part company with my Tuscan and spun off behind me on. Luckly I realised it came off fairly quickly and managed to go back and find it.
The can looks in okay condition, apart from a few scratches and a small dent in the tip it survived okay.
The rear section of the can (the metal part) is still attached to the rest of the exhaust on the car, with there being nothing behind the carbon fibre section on the detached can. Is it likely the section of the Exhaust Can could be refitted? How does the carbon fibre section of the can attach to the metal section behind it?

S6Devil..don't mind me asking where you got your blue flame cans from (they don't seem to do them on their website?) I've been contemplating a change myself, quite like the ACT cans..prefer the deeper tone..do you have any decent sound bites/clips of yours? Cheers..
I got them second hand on ebay, I don't think blue flame do them anymore. I don't have any sound bites/clips but they do sound good with the decats! No raspiness just a deeper tone with plenty of pops and bangs although I have to admit, not as many as with the carbon cans! Thanks for the advice.
It was the pipe going through the centre of the can which has broken. It may have been able to be welded back but given the cosmetic damage and the relatively low cost of a new can, I think I will just get a new one.
I presume the new cans just clamp on and aren't welded?
My car failed its MOT partly on the missing silencer, although that wasn't too much of a shock!
