Hi there. Just try to pick the brain from the experts here. My 2001 Mk1 oil pressure has been pretty normal - warmed up idle at 20 ish psi and 40+ when easy driving. Using 10W/40 oil. However, it shot up to 40-50 psi at idle when warmed up and 99psi when driving over the weekend. Checked and topped up about a 200 miles ago and have not touch the oil at all since. Should I be worry? Any advise would be highly appreicated. Thank you!!!

Pretty sure that would be a sensor.

Thank you for the respond. Is it something I can adjust or a trip to Str8six?

A new oil pressure sender may be in order. I had the same erratic readings on mine a while back, apparently they are prone to leaking. You can find them on Powers website.

Hi
I've got an issue too with my oil pressure readout on my display. This reading has been getting quite erratic over the last few weeks - prompting me to pull over every so often to check my oil ! Again, if the reading is jumping all over the place, then is it the sender that needs replacing ?? All other reading are OK and stable.
Cheers
Chris

I changed my oil filter first and that improved the psi reading, then decided to go for the whole hog and replace the sender too.
