Bigger Rear Brakes
Discussion
Why do you want bigger brakes on the rear . I have gone to solid discs from a Tuscan racer to reduce unsprung weight or motorcycle discs if you want the fuller look inside the wheel. The tuscan racers had to cut the pad area away to get heat in the rear discs so I doubt you would be overheating the vented ones.

What about options for a better looking caliper? The standard Ford Cosworth item is pretty cheap and crap looking.....for the simple reason that it is.
.
Have got 330x28 AP,s on front .
Have not seen coments about Sag rear brake issues
just think the rears could be improved both in looks and efficiency, and like you rightly say "plasicman" lighter
obviously i know parking brake is part of this set up

I'd be very careful adding extra braking on the rear, I always run a cheap unipart set of pads on purpose as when I tried fast road pads I had far too much rear effort, this caused the car to become unstable with heavy braking, back to cheap pads and a much more balanced system.
Not wanting to hijack the thread but do you have a part number and make for some cheap rear pads? I need some replacements and know what you mean about 'too much rear effort'.dvs_dave said:

A nice 2 piston caliper from the likes of AP like this ^^^^ would look, and probably work so much better.
The Cerbera runs fine with the ap 2 pots just like a Elise has up front

I'm doing the same as noisy now. I run ds2500 ferodos up front and standard road compound ferodos in the rears. Don't have a part number handy but they are ford sierra cosworth fitment.scotty_d said:
