Is it possible that my handbrake lever has cut the insulation of some wires leading to the back of the car?
Faults are:
- Handbrake warning is coming on frequently when i drive through bends at high g forces.
- CD-changer ceased working once as I engaged the handbrake.
- no speedo signal arriving.
Which wires do run near the handbrake to the back?
Colour coding of the wires?
Help is much appreciated!

I don't want to sound condescending, but can't you just join the severed wires up eith their matching other half? Or have I just misded the point completely (brain addled today)

you're probably right mate.
I must admit I did not even have a look under the center console ;-)

I just am curious and it might help me to know especially the wire colours that correspond to the speed signal since I am not sure yet if the problem is really there by the handbrake (which would be the easiest solution) or behind the dash or somewhere else...
