My rear screen is scratched badly, really noticable at certain sun angles. Anyone know of a perspex 'cutting' agent that can be applied to the screen to remove the scratches? Like T-Cut does with paint and glass-cutter does with glass windows?

i polished mine up with a dual action polisher, but i think the polishes i used can be used by hand. I used the menzerna graded polishes. Equally u could use scratchx or ultimate compound from meguairs. For a good filler, which will just hide them a while, auto glym super resin polish is great. Hope that helps smile

I bought some plexus plastic cleaner of Amazon having looked around for something to clean the plastic screen of my 993 cab. It is great but quite pricey. If you are anywhere near me (Sevenoaks) you are very welcome to come over and have a squirt before buying some.

Hey there,

Autoglym Resin Polish, with the red square on the bottle. Trust me, its far and away the very best thing I discovered for this. It has a very light abrasive quality which does a fabulous job of the rear window.

You can flat the scraches out with 1000s grit then 1500s grit and buff up with G3.

While we're on the subject - My rear screen rubs on the back of the boot lid which is scratching the screen and removing the paint. I can't see anyway to fix this, the screen in pushed in as far as it will do, I have a new seal and RaceTech Screen clips. The boot lid also looks to be sat in the right place.

Is this a common problem?

I have some Renovo soft top window cleaner which I used on the Chim. It worked really well on the soft screen and tried it on the Tuscan. The results weren't as dramatic, but it got rid of the worst of it. It's not too expensive and very easy to use. Wax on wax off as Mr Miyagi would say.

There should be a foam strip along the edge of the boot that sits against the screen when the boot is closed.

That makes sense - I presume it's normal for the boot to rub then, or should there be a gap?

The foam strip on the boot presses on the screen on mine.

presses on the screen with mine too. Mine was stuck to the window but when i removed i replaced with a strip on the inside of the boot lid, looks much nicer.
