Jasper measure before you remove old ones sorry couldn't resist it. Doing the same job yesterday at front to underside of chassis tube 125mm and rear to chassis tube by bottom rear wishbone mounting 185mm. These were measurements off my car

Gaz specified 150mm front and 160mm rear for me... I cut wooden blocks to the exact length which made it easier.

hehe I took them off thinking I could just use the old shocks as a mirror ,however dave at gaz told me that wasn't possiblemasmthe new shocks have a different design and a different spring rate.

Very fortunately Martin off here came round so I could use his (mint) car as a guide

I did think one thing though....

Surely I can't use heights mentioned above as if the car is in the air then you can't just copy someone else's height as if you have different spring rates then theirs may be higher or lower when there's no load on them? Is that true?

Anyway I have set them and they are almost right, they are at least very close and even so I can do a few miles tomorrow without damaging my tyres

Thanks

Ride height is set from the corner of the out riggers to the floor regardless of shock type, spring rate etc
