Tuscan Wing Mirror
Discussion
I've been having problems with my driver's door mirror - the glass was replaced by the previous owner but each time I close the door it drops down slightly which means I have to open the window and readjust it manually. The servos do their bit and move it around a bit but I believe something is loose so I want to get behind the glass to have a look.
The question is - how do you remove the glass? Is it a question of it being held in by clips so just (gently) forcing it out, or is there some locking mechanism to release (my old Chimaera had a little tab under the glass that had to be moved)

Thanks for the quick reply.
Just in case I (or someone else) break it, what did you use for your replacement - is it a special TVR part or (as was the case on the Chim) did TVR use another manufacturer such as Renault.
The Tuscan mirrors are off the VW Corrado, you should be able to get replacement parts direct from VW or off ebay.Just in case I (or someone else) break it, what did you use for your replacement - is it a special TVR part or (as was the case on the Chim) did TVR use another manufacturer such as Renault.

The mirrors are from a VW Corrado. You can buy on ebay (I believe), but in the main, they do not come complete with the heating element. A couple of folks on here have removed the heating 'pad' using a hot air gun and gently prizing off from the original mirror, then attaching to new glass using a contact adhesive.Just in case I (or someone else) break it, what did you use for your replacement - is it a special TVR part or (as was the case on the Chim) did TVR use another manufacturer such as Renault.
The glass just does 'pop' out.
