Hi all

Hoping some of you may be able to answer a few questions for me..

1) Want to sort out the play in my throttle spindle/pots,
is the bearing mod on just the two ends of the spindle or have I got to put them
all the way along the throttle pots. I have a local company able to do this for me
so will advise on prices when its been completed.

2) My Tuscan has been in to the garage for noisy belts which were fixed,
but they are now making a noise again and its very annoying as its covering up the sound of
my newly rebuilt motor from Str8six lol You can only really hear them when the roofs off
Could they be too tight or can I lube them!!!
Wondering if anybody else had had this issue.

Many thanks, car is fantastic in this weather.

Play in the throttle spindles is between the holes either side of the throttle body, you will need bearings both sides.

I looked into getting them machined myself but the Racing Green exchange versions looked good value @£300, that doesnt buy you much machining time unless you can get mates rates.

As regards belts, its normally the power steering or alternator belts that squeak....both adjusted fairly easily, or replaced for £14 (price of part - TVR Power)

Hi Robert

Thanks for the reply, yes I should get mates rates but he may well be up for
doing others if I ask nicley.

Il post up prices when completed, ive got the bearings just need to pop them in the whole
now.

Will have a look at adjusting the belts, annoyingly they done squeel as such its just
very annoying noise lol

TB bearings are the next job for me once I finish altering the front suspension. Which bearings are you using?

They look the same as the ones I bought last year, when I originally intended to do the job. smile

I'll be interested to know how yours works out.
