Help please.

I can't get into my boot. The button above the number plate isn't working. I've tried what I thought was the secret entry method, but I can't find the key bit where it should be. Is the system different for the Mk 2?

Other symptom is the alarm is blipping when I lock the car, which it doesn't normally do. Both doors open ok though.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the replies - I'm in now ( with a little help from Andy at Central TVR )

The method is the same for the Mk 2 - it just isn't obvious when you do it for the first time!

Having managed to get into the boot on Saturday night (and get my luggage for the weekend out!), this morning I thought I would try and work out what the problem is.

Looking in the boot, I noticed that the boot light wasn't working. I then tried the cd changer - also dead. Also the stereo isn't working. So I thought it must be a blown fuse, but they all seem ok in the fuse box and the one I believe is for the stereo is definitely ok.

So now I'm stumped...

Hi, not sure if i can help, but I had a similar problem when i first collected my mk1, turned out i had pressed the anti hijack button which lock all doors, although i used the drivers door to get out the passenger and boot still remained locked, they only opened when i unlocked passenger door from inside. Might help in someway

Check Fuse 11 20amp.... does boot light and radio ...and rear fog and courtesy light (possibly fuse 39 10 amp..says Radio and accessories) .. Otherwise I would suspect a cable has become disconnected.

Keith - spot on!! It was fuse 11. Without the help, I'd still be stuck on the Welsh coast. Many thanks!

Just want to say thanks for this one. Saved me a lot of grief. God knows what happened at the paint shop but mine just came home with these exact symptoms.
