Thought I should introduce myself.
I have moved from V6 to I6 and last weekend pick up a 2001 Viper Blue Mk1 Tuscan from HHC in exchange for my S2. Two totally different cars the S was fantastic never let me down and was immense fun, once I had sorted the suspension! The T on the other hand is fantastic the noise, acceleration and the looks!
The car has only had two owners and the last guy for many years, fortunately (for me!) the engine was rebuilt by Selby at 40k (now on 43k) and the car had a clutch not long before that. Loads of history aswell over the years so I know it was looked after.
Anyway a couple of crap phone pics for you.....

Change day in the rain which made the first 40 miles until it was dry interesting, I got out accelerated by a bus!

It needs to go back to HHC to finish being prepared (far to excited to wait) which will sort the couple of niggles found however as you would expect I have a couple of questions which I can't seem to get a definitive answer too on here or mytuscan.co.uk
Which is better trickle charging through the Anderson connector of the cigarette lighter?
Have you got any spare hinges MrChips?
The the exhaust sleeving as simple as a thin walled piece of 304/316 stainless tube?
Has anyone got a scrap roof for beer tokens as I am 6ft4" with 31" legs and have an idea to improve the head room (the seat squab is already out and made a huge difference, thanks Tony)?
Thanks for reading
Andy

To sleeve the cans, yes, thinwall stainless is fine. IIRC, the ID given in the mytuscan site is accurate...That's what I used. Jason had to put a couple of tacks on the sleeve last service (N/S can) as it was rattling.
Dave's (MrChips) hinges are fine....he was doing another batch, might be worth PM'ing him.
I'd try the breakers for a roof. Or discuss your requirements with one of the TVR body shops.

In those pictures the front looks too high to me - is it on adjustable suspension?

Thanks for the tipsI have been talking to Fibreon and S&D and need to knock something up for the roof before they can price/model etc
I have been wondering about the front what should the ride heights be measured from an easily recognisable place?
The shocks are adjustable (I think). From the history both front and back have been changed but not at the same time and the backs are Gaz Golds (I think). I need to get under it and have a look probably this weekend as it will be raining so will need an indoor task.
The front end feels very light, when compared to the S, and I have been reading the stuff about the 'S' chin from Fibreon.
Not too spook you to much but check out this

easy fix page 3 forum shows components if needed give it a little time first as plugging un-plugging into the Anderson connector may not be what it seems as a few horror stories of accident waiting to happen easy fix , if secure garaging and you leave windows down a little Cigarette Adaptor so much easier than getting down on knees to unplug.
Nice car by the way

Thanks, it is secure garaged I will get a Cigarette Adaptor any experience of the CTEK stuff it has been recommended elsewhere, I was aware of the Anderson issues but thanks very much for that I will familiarise myself with the battery etc and check nothing is amiss. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I have a figure in my head of 10.5cms from the bottom of the front outrigger to the ground. This may well be incorrect though! I seem to remember I could just get my fist between the ground and the outrigger. The shocks are adjustable (I think). Here's my old one - it's on std suspension that is 60k miles old so may have sagged slightly. If anything mine used to seem a little high at the back compared to others, but as you can see the gap between the wheel and the arch is quite well proportioned...
Mine's on optimate reverse polarity and dual voltage but i think they are all charger conditioners so all equally as good some cheaper than others . made up from e-bay cigarette unit and loose end to fit Optimate approx £5
Mine side on not yet done any highering or lowering good luck great cars

Thanks guys, will look at the front suspension tomorrow and see what it measures and whether I can adjust it.
Just to check what size tyres are you guys running on the front and rear?
All weekends activities (golf and cricket) have been cancelled so I feel a weekend of fettling and getting to know the car coming on (drivers seat already cleaned!)
