Picked up my mk1 Tuscan today
Discussion
Sold my chimaera yesterday and picked up my Tuscan this evening!
They really are 2 different beasts, the chimaera when floored does well with sticking to the road, the Tuscan wants to bum wiggle up the rev counter and then at high speeds it wants to join BA and virgin Atlantic in the clouds.
What have people done to keep their toy on the road!? Must be something to help? I read the front lip helps?
Photos to follow.
Miss my chimaera, but I have to say I reckon I'm going to love the Tuscan.
Tuscan 51 plate
Nightfire red with cream leather and cranberry/red carpets
No engine rebuild.....yet that is, let's hope it remains like that for a long time
11,500 miles on the clock when I bought her today.
Ps. Those pi55ing back covers on the seat are toilet. First job to get fixed.

Bit jealous, as mine may have to go this year!
I also had a Chim before, wouldn't want to go back.
Anyway mine has front and back lips, steady at 120, no idea beyond that!
Just wanted to say, back to basics... start with matching tyres all round, correct pressures, make sure no-one has swapped front and back wheels (different offsets).
Forecast bit better for next few days, have fun!

Welcome to Tuscan ownership
. Had mine 6 years and it still brings a huge grin to my face.
I.d consider the following :
1. Chuck your current suspension And put something like nitrons on.
2. Fit the spacers to the front wheels.
3. Put front splitter on
4. Put rear spoiler on.
The first two will transform the handling, the second two will keep you rock steady at high speed.

Great news mate glad you like your new toy we will have to meet up for a drive out, oh by the way it's looking good for next friday!
Thank you gentlemen. I will look in purchasing some bits to keep her on the road rather than orbit.I checked the tyre pressures and the fronts were all over the place one was 14psi and the other was at 30. Went to the tvr specialists in Berkshire (Wilton Morgan automobile engineering and just booked her in for a 12,000 service and got them to put the correct pressure and look at the back seat cover.
Macey did you say 3mm spacers?
Macey did you say 3mm spacers?
right then.
Dave thanks for the CANS and spacers. spacers are on and psi of tyres down to 24psi rather than 30psi and one being 14psi.
only small tweeks, but already have made it more steady, plus every mile i drive it the more familiar i get with the twitching! (thats the car twitching , not me!!)
i will get the tvr specialists in berkshire - wilton morgan automobile engineering to look at geometry when it goes for servicing at the beginning of August.
oohhhhh im loving the Tuscan.
