I know that cars regularly show a faster speed than they're actually travelling - better safe than sorry.
But has anyone experienced their speedo reading much lower than the actual speed they were doing? Maybe a dodgy speed sensor?

(At normal everyday speeds, not license-losing extremities)

Thanks
N.

And, for anyone jumping to conclusions re the prompt for this thread - yes, you're correct. But its still a genuine concern.

Not sure if it's any help but mine is within 1 mph of what my satnav reads.

Mine is also very accurate.

If the analogue & digital read the same, but low it's likely to be a speed sensor problem i.e requires cleaning or the gap setting correctly.

Mine is also very good. if anything a minor over read on m-way speeds which for me is how I would want it to be.
