Been told by some guys who do track days that the original set up for the earlier Tuscan was 16in thus the probs when going to 18in then needing spacers to keep it on the tarmac so to speak having 16in wheels for track and 18in for daily driving, dont no on later cars as when searching forums there are different suspension mods possibly to eliminate the earlier probs encountered and ironed out.If not had brake upgrade they do look a little empty inside on front wheels with smaller discs in my view.
The offset on the 18" is wrong for the car, it was always designed for 16" but always looks better on 18". In order to get the 18" on , and not sticking out of the bodywork they had to change the offset to accomodate. This led to a heap of associated problems with the geometry, earlier cars with the bells and rotors are the worst effected. Matt at SP did a lot of research on it and came up with the 3mm spacers to compensate for the offset. It is always a compromise though and the car handles better on 16's.
