Do I need the scuttle panel off to remove the airbox ?
Looks more than a bit tight with it on ?

No need to remove the scuttle panel, but don't forger there is a third clip that can't be seen holding the air box top on located in the middle on the underside of the air box.

It's easier with the panel off, definitely. And don't forget to take the windscreen wiper rod off too - even easier then.

I can tell you though, taking it off is *nothing* compared to getting the bloody thing back on, especially without squashing the air filter out like a piece of ham in a sandwich with too much butter in it.

Dont forget to replace the small bore pipe to the atmospheric pressure sensor right at the back of the lower half....BEFORE you re-assemble!!
How did I know that????

My replacement box from TVR Power didn't even have the nipple for that pipe. I had to get a water sprinkler nipple from eBay (they're just the right size), drill a hole and epoxy the damned thing in myself! Also did the front one for the fuel pressure regulator bleed hose thingy wotsit, which apparently isn't essential, but I did it anyway.

I just noticed this pipe, I have a Cerbera SP6 mine was not attached to the air box ,what are the symptoms of driving with it not attached?

Basically, the ecu sets a default value of 1000mb for atmospheric pressure if the MAP sensor/associated 'equipment' fails - so the engine will run. In theory, it would ony become a problem at any 'great' altitude/mountainous roads, when the ecu would alter the fuelling to compensate for a lower/less dense air pressure/mass.
