Hi, I've had a Tuscan since April and have fallen in love with it.

[Edit] Hello everyone by the way, glad to join the fold (from an E36 M3 Evo via a host of other cars)!

It is a Dec 2000 Mk1 and I have had a full inspection done and a few minor bits done (new battery cover fitted, changed a few chassis bolts etc ) at Racing Green and they said that at the moment it doesn't need anything doing apart from the pads being 50% worn. I've made sure to keep it driven once a week warming it up gently and so the battery is charged and alternator looks ok, and all the hoses have been tested at hot temps and its not been standing about for a month etc.

I plan to cover 2-3k miles in 10 days and I was wondering what advice people had? Do I need a spare throttle cable for example and I have 2 cans of tyre-weld that came with the car.

Should I get an extinguisher for example? If so where to put it so its not in the way but also actually accessible ( I'm ruling the boot out for example?

My mate went last year and his Cerb broke itself after a jaunt across Germany in the first 24 hrs which was a real shame and I am hoping to make the whole trip if I can. His Cerb had some cooling issues before and was NOT well diagnosed but I won't name & shame.

Mine seems in rude health ( touch wood ) at the moment but wondered if anyone with experience of a decent Euro hoon would be able to pass on some wisdom? smile

Oh, and I also plan to be quite tentative with it as I know it is so much less forgiving than the less exciting but more benign M3!
