Gearbox oil

Just drained to refill with new ATF and I am sure what has come out in Engine oil. ....Yes I got the correct plug....
Clean and no ATF smell to it. Box was ok, car new to me so slowly changing all the fluids.
Did I read somewhere fully synth engine oil is good in the T5 ?

Thanks for the specs. I have allready got the ATF to go in, just commenting that engine oil has come out ?
