and as you do when you own a TVR, you get a bit paranoid the thing's going to go up in smoke.

So I pull over and start smelling round the cabin, buy to no avail. Then around the bonnet area, nothing. At this point I start to feel a bit conscious of all the people watching me so decide to drive the short journey back home so I can have a proper sniff around.

Arrive home, feeling a bit peeved because the car's been running so well recently, and to my joy I find the cause of the smell...

The remains of a blue plastic carrier bag which I remember having no choice but to run over last time I drove the car, and because some idiot was right on my rear bumper I couldn't check that it had come out behind me.

15 years driving and this is a first for me. At least it was an easy fix for once!

Had this happen years ago in a cavalier. Ran over one of them really thick plastic bags that gravel come in. It stank of burnt plastic for weeks.

wot he said...v nice.

I have secured my cans to reduce movement - but that would have been 'belt and braces'

To the OP...hope you managed to get it all off - and at least it wasnt that car that was burning smile
