Hi all.

Picked up the Tuscan yesterday and enjoying it so far. As is natural with a TVR under new ownership, there is the odd niggle here and there. Firstly, the driver's window won't always go down when I ask it to. This is mostly accompanied by the green LED flashing, whereas the passenger one works all the time and stays solid. This is both whilst moving and at a standstill. Occasionally it starts to work again and the LED goes solid. I'd say the window will go down 50 percent of the time. It still goes up and down when the doors are opened and closed perfectly.

Secondly, has anyone managed to stop theirs leaking water in from the corner of the A-pillar, or do I just give up early and get a cover?

Thanks.

Not a Tuscan but my control units for the passenger window are currently up at Blackpool being redone as it was displaying similar characteristics to yours until it finally have up the ghost.

I think I'm right in saying that TVR just bunged the units into the cars without any weather protection so they are prone to water attack.

Could you try swapping yours around so as to confirm it is an issue with the unit?

Not sure if this helps, but mine does the same. (early mk1). Passenger LED flashes all the time while car is moving, but on permanent when stationary. Drivers side permanent on all the time apart from when window is opening or shutting. I have heard that the later control units only flashed when the window was moving, and so remained on at all other times. It seems I have 2 different controls units. Not too much of a problem apart from night driving, can get a bit annoying. I think its quite expensive to get repaired or modified so I'm leaving it. BTW enjoy the car, they really are fabulous;)
