Immobiliser Problems

Ok so having a problem with the immobiliser at the moment;

Got in the car Wednesday morning and the immobiliser would not disarm. Had a search on here and found it may need reset which can be done by either disconnecting the battery or unplugging the big 100Amp fuse behind the passenger foot well. I unplugged the fuse, connected again and the immobiliser started working again. I was able to start the car as normal and continued to work fine until this morning.

The same thing happened again so unplugged the fuse and it worked, but on my journeys I stopped four times and every time I got back in the car the immobiliser wasn't disarming again and I had to unplug the fuse!

Does anyone have any idea what the cause might be?

Also, the button on my key unlocks the car but has never unlocked the immobiliser - I have always had to plug the fob into the socket - could this be related? Any idea why this might be as well?
