It's convertible not convertable.
Both Mk1 and Mk2 convertible never existed, so how can there be a Mk3.
All convertibles have a wavey dash and the same wiring (other than subtle move of the hazard warning light).
And what happened to it's door kick plates ?
I wonder if you get a handbook ? We never did

So £9,400 of the price is VAT. Will you lose that the second you pay for it, or does anyone think the value will hold at the original cost price?
I know I know, it all depends on what someone is willing to pay for it!
I think the price is reasonable considering TVRs 2007 list price was £55,812 for a 'S' .I know I know, it all depends on what someone is willing to pay for it!

I think the car would only be worth anywhere near that money only the once. You are paying to have a brand new car exclusive and very last Tuscan (maybe) that no other bugger has ever sat in.I know I know, it all depends on what someone is willing to pay for it!

If I had it I'd pay it.... but, as soon as that car becomes 2nd hand I think it looses some of its appeal just as any second hand car would.
Like i said, I'd much rather have the V8 they're about to put on the mkt. Was Smolenski's very own (apparently)....

I'm pretty sure that a friend who ordered a Sagaris (the blue/green one that turned up at some point as the first Sagaris 2, with the rear facing exhausts) got a Tuscan convertible with the Sagaris dashboard, which would technically make it a mk3, if the Mk2 is the one with the wavey dashboard. All Tuscan convertibles had the same dashboard instrumentation as the Sagaris. As above piccy ... Unless you have a photo to disprove me.
95% of all convertibles produced are on the register and they are all the same

Although 'understated' in colours and contrast, that is a lovely, lovely car and will be top quality, better than factory quality for sure..
As regards price, then what the heck, buy it for yourself not somebody else or what it might be worth.. that's a lot of car for that money...
I spent a fortune on my T350C in servicing, fault fixing, niggles, engine problems etc., sold it for half what I bought it for, but did 50k miles in it and enjoyed every minute of it.
I recommend anyone who buys a TVR adopts the same philosophy - enjoy the damn thing and drive it !

Not this again Keith. As previously indicated in this thread http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... they were marketed by TVR as 'Mk2 Convertibles', ie the convertible version of the Mk 2 Tuscan. The fact that there was no Mk 1 Convertible is irrelevant.TUS 2 CON said:

Other than "The reborn venture"... Please post the marketting info from 2006 which states MK2.My point is all convertibles have now being advertised for sale as MK3s ???

If you read the EVO article on the Convertible (re-printed by TVR as Sales literature), it compares the "Convertible" with the Tuscan 2 Coupe.
