think the release fingers are going on mine,

can you buy an improved pressure plate? i know the friction/drive plates are healthy (measured/inspected when i changed the slave)

or is the only option a complete new clutch pack?

has there been any improvements to the part or is the only option to keep changing them?

thanks

I don't think you can. They do an uprated one but it's not very road user friendly so I've been told by TVR Power.

AFAIK the latest AP unit is supposed to have been improved to last longer.

Make sure you get the pedal travel set up properly so the fingers are not being over stressed.

AP dont sell any parts for these clutches,

which is why I would never buy one again
So what are the alternatives then to an AP clutch ?? If my new one doesn't last 50,000 miles I won;t fancy putting another AP one in. Still on original clutch in my BM - 180,000 miles. Not 370bhp, more like 200bhp, but still, 180,000 miles !!

I just put an AP clutch in mine, from Jason at str8six, cost 1000, good job too. had the slave cylinder looked at too as when then the clucthc is out you might as well do that too since you won't be able to get to it if it starts to leak. So better to do it at the same time.....good luck with your choice.... very happy with the AP Clutch in mine...

I have just had an genuine AP clutch on mine too - again fitted by Str8 Six.

The car had previously had a raceproved slave and clutch kit fitted before i bought it, but the clutch only lasted 15k miles. It was one of the reconditioned kits and was certainly cheaper, but it failed eariler than it seems the AP unit would have. I have seen a few examples of this on PH.

I replaced the master cylinder and the seals on the raceproved slave, so far so goof but i have only done 300 miles since hehe
