I want to upgrade my Tuscan Mk1 a little and like the Mk2's winglets very much.
But I am afraid the car becomes unbalanced with only front wings fitted.
Disliking the rear spoilers I was thinking a rear diffusor would be an acceptable solution.
Does anyone sell these for the Tuscan or do I search in vain?

Visually or aerodynamically? Can't see the diffuser doing much other than look pretty.

Couldn't you try and reduce the turbulence under the car with some flat sections in filling the chassis and then introduce the diffuse to help the air escape quicker?

Isnt that going to induce downforce?

Perhaps it isnt as simple as that, but on the flipside i really cant stretch my optimism to beleieve much thought (other tha...wow thats looks good) went into the spolier....

On the face of it all that you have to do is cover the underside of the car with thin sheets, turned down at the sides, fit a diffuser and you've got ground effect. It usually works out that if the designer has not allowed for this then the drive, exhaust and suspension make this very difficult to achieve.

Mmmm. Not as daft as on a Range Rover. At least the TVR one looks like it might do something. Sort of. Ish.

If I recall T450t did this with his T350, not sure if he did the work himself but might be worth a chat . .

Theres a picture on japans tvrcc on facebook of a tuscan with a tamora diffuser. Looks pretty good, but i imagine ground clearance to be an issue for day to day driving

It is not for the looks - well somehow it is because I dislike the rear spoilers - but for downforce.
A friend of mine has the TuscanS front spoiler on his and the rear gets light on high speeds.
That is what I meant with the term unbalanced. Since we do have the possibility to drive fast over here on the Autobahn I want to create more stability on +120 mph ;-).
I do like the look of the winglets but if they create the same effect - front ok but rear too light - and it is too much fuzz with the rear diffusor I rather leave everything as it is and live with the somehow challenging behaviour towards top speed...

The easiest way to get downforce at the rear is to fit a wing in this style: http://www.tvrblog.com/when-tvr-did-le-mans-24-hou... Don't know how you'd feel about the looks though.

Thanks for the suggestion Jon, but that is way too much for me. I don't want to destroy the gorgeous looks of the Tuscan. That is the reason I would go for a diffusor and / or flat underneath.
But as said b4 I tend to leave her as pretty as she is and live with the adventure of the handling above 120 mph...
Something like that http://böllerwagen.de/?attachment_id=841 is what I would fancy.

Mine has the s splitter and no rear spoiler and I'll say now that it makes the rear end no lighter at all than before, infact I'm not sure it does a great deal at all, maybe makes the front a bit more planted.

I'd almost guarantee his is light due to set up, I'm still perfecting mine but at 120 it feels very stable. I have hit 150 once or twice and that felt ok, if anything front end is a bit lighter but possibly only due to tram lining which on the continent won't be as much of a problem as our crappy roads with dips all over them frown

You haven't been to the mainland for a while I think. Over the past twenty years we sent all our money to eastern Germany and just recently to Greece weeping. The roads in western Germany are deteriorating over the last years due to lack of maintenance and we do benefit now from British standard b-roads banghead
