Left lights on yesterday, had a miserable few hours in the rain!

Long story, but I suppose the crux - my Tuscan doesn't have a headlight warning alarm/buzzer.

Does anyone else, and if not, has anyone made/bought one - preferably an easy, solder free method....

Cheers

Can't help but would be useful. I'm rubbish at turning mine off, my other car turns them off automatically when I pull the key out so I'm not used to having to worry about it.

Wonder if you could wire it for them to go off when you turn off the ignition? Like it does with the radio. Who needs lights when you're not in the car?

Simple solution I've done on another vehicle which I think should be possible in a Tuscan, is to get yourself a 12V buzzer, connect a lead from its +ve terminal to the switched side of the headlight supply, and take the -ve side down to the drivers door switch pin or up to the interior light return. Then if the lights are on and the door is opened the buzzer goes off, note it will still sound with the ignition on though, but how often do you get out with the engine running?

If you want one to only work with the ignition switch off it will need a relay and a bit more wiring.

When I had the Chimaera, I put in a "lights on" buzzer as per the instructions in the 'chimaera pages'. Pretty straightforward, did need a few soldered joints, but IIRC, you made these before linking to the car(??).

The buzzer was triggered by having the lights on (side or head) and then opening the door. IIRC I took a feed from the dash light switch and then the earth return to the buzzer was via the courtesy light switch. I'd have to engage brain before trying something similar on the Tuscan :-).
