Wiper blade sizes?

Bit confused on the size of the wiper blades on a mk1. Measuring the wiper blade end to end my drivers side is 22" and the passenger is 16"?

Replacements seem to be all 21" for both wipers, do 21" wipers fit OK?

IIRC, I put 19" on both arms.
Swept area is fine - plenty of visibility.

Have to agree with Nick mine had the 21" fitted and the drivers side one started to wear away the windscreen rubber, It now has blades of two different sizes, I can measure them for you if required, mine a Mk2 but assume they are the same.

If you want to maximise the swept area, you need 1 x 21 and 1 x 19.
