Engine Pics and a Video
Discussion
A couple pics and a link to a video recently taken. I have ordered a set of Titanium Shark nose end cans they are due in a weeks time. The car still has a misfire at around 4K rpm which Craft have not been able to iron out. The plan is to take it to Joolz at Trackcar Solutions when he has time available, this will also offer the opportunity for an independant dyno check.

Since these photo's were taken the radiator hoses have been changed for blue silicon type and the air con hose has been re-routed so it does not rest on top of the blower, the video shows the current set up.

Thanks Gents,
Custardkid, the tank houses the charge cooler volume of fluid, the pink effect in the clear piping is the coolant/water mix, this is circulated by an electric pump thro a rad at the front of the car and then through the charge cooler cores in the airbox and back into the tank. The heated compressed air passes through the charge cooler rad in the airbox and the heat transfer takes place cooling the compressed air.

Its currently running a low boost of 5 psi which is giving 495bhp. The target figure has always been 550 BHP anticipated as 8 - 10 psi, (fuel detonation dependant), but I believe even if that were possible it would likely be too much for the car as it is, plus I may not always be able to fill up with 99ron fuel (dunno if the MBE can load different ignition maps with a fuel type switch over configuration)? Anyway the car is going back to AutoCraft within 2 weeks and they are going to take it up to Trackcar Solutions and hopefully Joolz can sort out the misfire at 4K rpm and then achieve a max useable top end BHP figure. The torque figures are the impressive part, currently at 3K rpm it is pushing a little more than the standard car does max. And at its current max it is putting out 408lbsft. The good thing about the centrifugal compressor is that the power comes in so smoothly, for example in 3rd gear you can really feel it has a power band that climbs steeply noteably after the 4K rpm hessitation. 2nd gear requires a delicate right foot at any rpm. Next time home (which sadly is 14 weeks away) I intend to do some in car video of the speedo in an attempt to show how the speed increases, also of the lovely Boost, Oil, Fuel pressure and Oil temp gauges that Craft installed. They are the dogs nads and look quality, the remote electronic sensors are a lovely piece of kit.
Sad news is that it could all be up for sale summer 2008 if it proves impossible to get it into Canada. I have been told I can get it in as a show car, but then registering for road use will be a problem.
(Tony and Gordon you an your bunch of tw*ts have a lot to answer for).

Any news on your beast, I have bookmarked this thread thinking that Joolz may have sorted it by now. Have you heard any bad news about Autocraft? I am thinking of doing same to my T2 just had upgrade to 4.0 from 3.6 at Power and he was messing with a prototype 4.2ltr which looked impressive, I need to do another 500miles on my baby before I take it back to have tappits adjusted etc then I will see how he performs after the 400cc upgrade, but I love the thought of 550BHP.....need better brakes and a parachute + massive wing to keep it on the ground though!!
Is the upgrade only possible on an S if so why and can you tell me cost please? Perhaps a private e mail if you want to keep it of site.
PS perhaps you have sold it, have you?
Cheers, great pics would be good to see the autocraft dials etc also.
