Tuscan chassis repairs....
Discussion
Hi...lookin at a tuscan on ebay just now.Its an accident damaged 2001 4.0 and has a fair bit of bodywork required..... but thats not really a problem, the problem is that the seller mentions the n/s chassis outrigger is damaged. So my questions are...how easy are tuscan chassis to repair and at what kind of cost?has anyone on here attempted it?And is it worth it? Any help/advice would be great...thanks craig

I looked at going this route before I bought mine, I did some rough procing up and unless you pay bargain basement prices for the damaged car it is not cost effective, even after repairs your total spent wants to be way less than the same car would have cost undamaged (as it will always be a cat C / D and very hard to sell)
cat d , means its been in an accident or damaged and insurance company decided not to repair it , as it would cost more than what car was worth, but insurers paid out on it, then it was sold as salvage or previous owner bought it back off insurers for next to nothing and repaired it
cat d is not so bad it means damage was only light
cat c it would have been worse damage. Cat d or above wont show on log book. Cat c will as they need to go for a vic test.
Category A and B should never be returned to the road. A Category B write off is one that is so badly damaged it can only be used for the salvaging of spare parts, while a Category A is one that is sent to the crusher.
