Thinking about taking the plunge. Have arranged a test drive on Sat. Was going to buy a Porsche (993C2) But having last minute second thoughts. The thing worrying me about the Tuscan 2S is lokely depreciation over 12 months. Comments?

How old is the Tuscan and how much are you paying. Preoces have taken a bit of a hammering over the last twelve months but cars do still reatin a good residual if maintained well.. with history

I have only really looked at one, it's a 2005 with 5000 miles the dealer is asking 39K - looks a little expensive, but obviously comes with warranty

Well you could look through the classifieds to see what people are advertising their cars for now.

As general rule, as the Tuscan is a newer car, it will depreciate more.

The price seems a bit steep to me.

There are good examples on PH sales and in dealers at competitive prices.

At that price you will take a hit in the first two years, my guess 24 months down the line it will be worth about 22k to 24k . I recently looked at an Tusacan S 2005 with low miles wanted 28,500 cash not trade in.

As others have said you will take a bigger hit the newer the car although prices do stabailise after about 4 years.

I bought my 2005(54) Tuscan S, same miles from a main dealer for less than that 10 months ago, although that was after much haggling! And that was before the company 'hit the rocks'. Have been looking on PH and autotrader to see how my car's value has faired and similar to H10TVR, I have seen good examples advertised for far more competitive prices.

I'd be tempted to sell you mine, with enough spare for you to get a decent independent warranty, for the money you've been quoted!

Hi James, just checked your profile, I didn't get those extra's with my Tuscan and I thought HHC were good to me. I need to look at extra's list again.

I bought a 2006 Tuscan S II about 6 weeks ago after wanting one for ages. I'm now looking to sell, the only reason is that I dont have a garage. I have advertised the car for what I paid which was £33500, I have had one dealer offer to buy at that price and another willing to sell on my behalf and take a commision. Said it would be advertised for £40000.
If I take the second option I may make £2500. Not bad at all... got some thinking to do..
