Any friendly tuscan owners in Huntingdon/Cambridge?

Hi All,
I'm considering a replacement for my M3 in a few months time or so. A Tuscan at this instant seems high on the list of things I'd consider moving to, in fact that list gets smaller by the day, as I keep thinking all the other options I've considered wont really offer anything the M3 doesn't.
I was wondering if anyone around Cambridge or Huntingdon has a Tuscan (any variant) that they would be happy to take me out in so that I can get an idea of the car. Of course I'd repay the favour in the M3, but I guess it wouldn't seem very exciting coming from the TVR. Still, I could show you my satnav or heated seats or DSC or something
Luckily I live really near offord motor company who I'd use to service the thing (and provided they had one I liked, buy from) unless there are any horror stories.
It would be really useful if someone could share a bit of Tuscan love my way, I'll know then whether it's something I should aim towards or to discount now as being too silly (as I had to with the exige!). I had asked for a ride at offord motor co., but the guys are very busy and the Tuscan's were prepped, so I can understand their reticence - hopefully PH will come to the rescue though!!

Whitey, I think it's my face. I've always had no end of troubles getting test drives!
Christ, I once even drove to Oxford to see a M5 and the <insert very rude word> salesman decided he couldnt be arsed to get the M5 out as it was blocked in. Unhappy doesnt come into it. Luckily he realised he was being a <another rude word> and let me take a M3 out, in the end thats why I bought one, but still. I still want to punch him for that.
I was candid with offords garage and explained im not looking seriously to buy today sort of thing, but yes, it would have been nice for them to take me out (and if they were serious about trying to sell me one it would have been sensible), but they did spend 20+ mins with me answering quite a few questions and let me play around so I didn't feel too miffed to be honest bygones.
Luckily a couple of very nice Tuscaneers locally have offered help, so I'll take them up on that and see where to go (if anywhere) from there.

Sounds like a good plan, I may well pop along.
Timmybob came to the rescue and took me out in his lovely S yesterday - what weather for it! Compared to my M3, although faster, I'm surprised and slightly disappointed to say that acceleration didnt seem to me to be on a different planet, and nor did the braking. I found this quite surprising, especially as acceleration/deceleration normally feels more pronounced when in a passenger seat. The M3 is massively heavier, and 50 hp down on the TuscanS so on paper the Tuscan is a very different animal. I'm sure many of you will pooh pooh these comments and say I'm insane/wrong, but jumping into the M to drive home it really impressed, she can sure pick her skirt up and wail when hustled onwards too. I think revving to 8.2K rpm in the M3 over the 6800 rpm shifts that Simon made feels a bit more like a creshendo, rather than the low down torque of the Tuscan, the M3 really likes to be wrung out, and this probably gives the illusion of more speed.
The thing that really stood out in the Tuscan, was cornering force/speed/stability . I'm sure simon was hitting clear 1g+ lateral loading easy as pie, the M3 just can't do that happily. Though maybe with coilovers and Michelin cup tyres it would.
Still, I really like the Tuscan, and it is quite a different proposition to the M. If it wasn't a TVR, and didn't look/sound like it did, then I probably wouldn't give them a second thought - therin lies the rub however! The car is just stunning to look at, and a rewarding car to drive I'm sure. Day to day driving from A to B I'm pretty certain the M3 would be faster (taking into account warm up and mechanical sympathy), but if that was my goal I should have bought a Impreza or Evo (yuk). I can really see that owning a Tuscan would make you love it more and more (like I have with the M at the moment) as it has so much personailty. From a poseur perspective, I can definitely see myself rocking up to work in a Tuscan.
I think the best way for me to sum it up from my limited experience of high perf cars, is that to me at this instant I think the M3 is the better car. The Tuscan is a stupid car, it does none of the things the M3 can do in terms of comfort/storage/reliability(no 30K rebuild)/saftey(!). That said, I am quite coming around to the idea of having a stupid year, and I fear that once bitten it will be a slippery slope towards vehicular insanity!
I think that to make the switch across to a Tuscan I'd require some savings to be amassed to help with the Tuscan slush fund - if that happens I may well find myself being very silly!!
