What a superb day!
The weather held out and the collection of cars was superb!

Great to see three other Tuscans (BBMark, Ben2 & Kippax) tearing up the strip - well done guys!

Considering this was my first race day I was quite pleased with my times & enjoyed beating a Cerb, M3CSL & a 335D(Don't laugh he was pretty rapid)I even enjoyed being beaten by a 8.2lt Dodge Viper (just pipped me at the line although he was pulling like a train at that point!) also got just beaten by 2 other Cerbs again just at the line after destroying them over 1/2 mile & got well & truly spanked by the fastest car of the day the Noble!

Well, technically two Cerbs - but one of them (Brummiewedge) has an LS6 lump giving the best part of 500bhp...
Still only half a second quicker though!

Drop down a bit when you look at the terminal speeds reached though - Cerbs are way too powerful and therefore that much harder to get off the line Seriously it was a great day and the Tuscans there did indeed put on an impressive showing, and that's despite me trying to get Nelly very lost on some rural backroads on the way up - top stuff

It did seem that many of 'them' () were not getting away as well as they could have, and did seem to make up some time further down the runway.Another 1/4 mile and who knows?
Maybe next year (at the proposed 1 mile distance) will tell a different story.....(*)
Still - top, TOP day though! A riot from start to finish.
No-one crashed or blew up - 90 odd super(!!
!!) cars drove there, had a days thrash, then drove home - not a low-loader in sight!If Windsor (Longbow
) could re-run the day again, I don't think he'd change a thing - it really was that good.- - maybe by then us Sp6 lot will have found an equivalent of your linked-de-cats / Emeralds / ACT short induction / myriad other tweaks......

The BMW was seriously quick of the mark - trounced most of the M series cars.
Looking at the manufacturers figures 580nm torque!!!!, 286 hp, it was going to shift. In my defence we did have the roof down all day, and we were going faster at the end..positions reversed if you took terminal speed.
And the clutch and all 5 gears worked beautifully on the way home...
Was good fun - thanks to Longbow (again) for organising it.
