okay decided on tuscan now after driving a cerba nd a tuscan

choice of two diffent can you help me decide which one as need some peps with some experince here

If you havent already.. join the Tvr club as you get a sprint mag and there are good ones forsale in there.
Also try this guy.www.jamesagger.com he is an inde who finds them for you.
My advise is make sure you buy one with warranty as you will prob need it in the first 6 months as you often find little problems pop up and the cost out weights the cost of the warranty so its well worth it.
I do know that Barnet Tvr have a swordfish Tuscan coming in so you could give them a call.
Insurance can be up and down for quotes, I take it your only going to use it for limited mileage like me.. ive just insured mine with Haggerty Insurance and I'm 32 with 3000 miles a year for £295 with breakdown assistance.

Hi The garage you mention in Scotland that did the services has not dealt with TVR for some time perhaps 2 years so I'd check when the last service was completed.

My advice would be to get one with a rebuild and if possible a recent clutch replacement (cost £1K). But if you can find a nice one in the correct colour combination for you with a warranty thats a good alternative. Any suspension upgrades are also a bonus.

save £5k of your budget just incase, tend not to trust warentees to pay out. (altho the AA £500 jobie has been good)

i'd go for private one, where the car has been loved by the owner, any one that can't be bothered to write more than 2 lines about the car and has only uploaded one grainy photo, probably not a great bet. spend £500 on getting the car inspected by and independant specialist, the owner should agree to this if your paying.

if you dont want the hassle of looking James Agger has a good rep (and scares easily on test drives )

of course all this advice goes out the window, when you fall inlove with one that'll be that!

Will add more details though...The car is loved and cherished (as anyone who's had me jabber on at them at a TVRCC meet will testify). Just not by the other half!!
