door card re-trimming?

has anyone re-trimmed thier door cards with a material thats a bit nicer than the standard "Fuzzy Felt" ?

I had them re-covered in Ambla on my Tuscan MK1





This was done by the factory servicxe department, but I sure any good trimmer could do it.

factory also re-trimmed mine to the later style with the leather bit along the top. A very cost competitive job from memory.

What a bloody crying shame they are no longer.

david, does this mean you've made a decision to keep the car?

My door skins are full leather as above, but in black. would let you have a pick but car is currently haveing work done....

haha, not yet, Although I am leaning towards "option 1" now and Im getting some options priced up. Im thinking of just doing a front end respray, and some limited re-trimming and nitrons, 3K ish worth of work over the winter.

Then get the saggy in 2 years time (and maybe let the missus have the tuscan!)
