engin rebuilt in sept. 2002, will it need one again

Just about to buy a tuscan to use everyday. its a 2001 car done 20000 miles and had a engin rebuild at tvr factory at 8000 miles in september 2002, will the engine need a rebuild in the future, can anyone tell me how safe is this car to buy. if i warm the car up propely and look after it should it be ok or is another rebuild imminent in the future. realy want this car but a little worried, can anyone offer any advice i would be very greatfull.
Well I had a 2002 Tamora with the Speed Six engine and it was absolutely fine, drove many miles in it on a daily basis, always warmed her up correctly and ensured regular oil changes. If your engine was rebuilt during 2002 then in reality it would be very similar to my old Tamora, so aslong as you look after it and the previous owner(s) has/have, it could well be ok.
The other theory that I have is that the Speed Six engine is better when used on a daily basis, because some of the oil is still left in the engine when you start it up the following day - so there's no metal against metal if you get my drift.
If you are worried though, you might want to get an expert to check it out. A few quid spent now, could well save you £5k at least - if it did need another rebuild.

Mine was rebuilt by Auto Craft last year before I bought it and I was told this was the second rebuild the car has had the first being by TVR.
I'll dig through my receipts to see if I can 100% confirm this but 99% sure it's what the previous owner told me.
My car is a very early car though (2000 W) so that may explain it as I know some early cars had real problems.
I bought mine on the basis of the very extensive work done to it last December.

Mines also a 2000 W. It had a rebuild by TVR at 35k in 2003 and again by Str8 Six at 70k in 2007.
I agree with Rayvonn that the engines are better run daily but its only an opinion.
You should be able to get the engine checked easy enough.
Check for Oil contaminated spark plugs, compression ratio etc.

You will still have the soft valve guides so in short, yes.
Get the car, get the fun from it and put aside the money to sort out an upghrade on the engine when it needs it. You should budget for about 4k since it should only need a head replacement if it has already had a bottom end rebuild.

Readings elsewhere...2004 seems the general concensus?
