Engine Noise

I have noticed that when the engine on my Tuscan S is warm there is a slight ticking noise, my thoughts are that perhaps the valve clearence are causing this. Has anyone else noticed similar?

I appreciate that they are by nature a little noiser when cold but I'm not sure whether this is normal for warmed up?
