Tuscan 2 S Electric Window and Door Release lights

Probably a really simple/basic question but I can't seem to find an answer on the web/forums or the owners manual so was hoping someone here could help...?

Could someone explain why the lights which surround the electronic window controls and door release dial in the centre console flash and what are they indicating? Under certain circumstances (which I have not yet determined) the green lights which surround the up/down control flash on/off, after a while this stops and the door release dial (normally illuminated orange) illuminates half red or goes out all together on one half.

I have an ’06 Tuscan MkII S (Targa roof) with the convertible style dashboard.

The lights round the window switches should flash just after you've closed/opened the door on the relevant side. They should then return to constantly on when the door is shut (and the ignition on).

The light round the door opener glows red when you are on the move (to indicate that the doors are locked) and green when statioary (unlocked). If you press the button in the middle the doors will lock and it will glow red.

If the light round the door opener is half one colour and the lights round the window switches are flashing, this indicatres a problem with the door on that side. (In my case it was just a loose connection in the system).
