I was just under the back of the car checking on the cans and noticed that there seems to be some evidence of fluid underneath the right-hand (from rear) exhaust run as it leads back to the back-box. I also noticed that the front face of the diff seemed to be a little oilier than usual. The fluid on the exhaust seems to be oily too but doesn't look "fresh".
Is it possible for me to check the fluid level in a hydratrak diff or the seals maybe? If there is a leak, does it mean that the diff is knackered? I haven't noticed any difference in the way the car runs or the noises it makes etc. Could it have been from a 12K service done about 3.5K miles ago?
Cheers in advance

Awkward to get at. Get car up in air, undo plug on the side of the diff, then stick your finger in to feel for oil. Oil should be up to bottom of the hole.
Your seals may be on the way out. A bugger to change, but diff itself should be fine. Clean up xs oil and see how quickly it comes back!
