flat battery please help

woo woo here can some one please help husband just got to hanover airport battery flat can any one plaese let me know which is the + and - on battery connector ( which one is at the front )

+VE is to the front of the car.

Had to bump start in the end.
Th ADAC man and the Airport Car Park recovery man spent more time taking photo's than they spent trying to connect to the battery.
